Binance operates a VIP tier system with 10 levels (VIP 0 through VIP 9) that progressively reduce trading fees based on your 30-day rolling trading volume and BNB holdings. Understanding these tiers helps active traders plan their activity to reach the next level.
VIP 0 Standard User
All new Binance accounts start at VIP 0. The standard spot maker and taker fee is 0.1%, and futures fees are 0.02% maker / 0.05% taker. With BNB discount enabled, spot fees drop to 0.075%.
VIP 1 Through VIP 3
VIP 1 requires $250,000 in 30-day spot volume or 25 BNB holdings, offering 0.09%/0.10% spot fees. VIP 2 at $1M volume gives 0.08%/0.10%. VIP 3 at $5M volume offers 0.07%/0.09%. Each level also includes lower futures fees.
VIP 4 Through VIP 6
Mid-range VIP tiers target institutional and semi-professional traders. VIP 4 requires $10M monthly volume (0.06%/0.08%), VIP 5 needs $25M (0.05%/0.07%), and VIP 6 requires $50M volume with rates as low as 0.04%/0.06% for spot.
VIP 7 Through VIP 9
The top VIP tiers are for professional trading firms and market makers. VIP 7 starts at $100M monthly volume, VIP 8 at $500M, and VIP 9 at $2 billion per month. At VIP 9, spot maker fees reach 0.00825% and taker fees 0.01725%.
Volume Calculation Method
Binance calculates your VIP tier based on a trailing 30-day trading volume measured in USD across all spot pairs. Both maker and taker volume count toward the total. Your tier is reviewed and updated daily, so a large trading day can move you up quickly.
